Navigate to Database > database search > Map search. Then follow the steps below to search the database using the map interface.

a) Click on the link 'launch the map interface by clicking here'. A new window will appear containing the map (as shown below).

b) Using the map controls (3), click on the Map with your mouse pointer to pan it around or to zoom it in or out. Your location in the Grampian region will be displayed in the Overview Map (2). Find a location on the map that you would like to use to perform your search. The centre coordinates of your current map view are displayed (4).

c) When you are happy with the location you have chosen, click on the 'use for search' button (4). The map window will close and your search will start. Please be patient. Depending upon the speed of your Internet connection this may take a couple of minutes. The progress bar in your Internet browser will look similar to that shown below, indicating that the search is in progress.
