Different species may be recorded together with a nature conservation designation. To find out about nature conservation designations used in the NESBReC database, follow the steps outlined below:

On the left-hand menu, under database click on thesaurus. You will be taken to the thesaurus page. Under Nature Conservation Designations you will find a form as shown below.

Species conservation designations

1. From the drop-down list choose the designation you would like to find out more about.

2. Click on the search button

3. Read the description shown in the table.

Repeat the process to find out about other designations.
